The Aura Mira Steel Towel Rail Chrome 1500mm x 500mm is a straightforward way to carry a chrome bathroom scheme through to the heating. The metallic finish can coordinate with taps, shower fittings and accessories, keeping the practical details visually connected.
At 1500mm high, this is the shorter of the two Mira heights in the selection, with the same 500mm body width as the taller model. The towel-rail format provides a place to warm towels while the central heating runs. Plan its location around comfortable towel access as well as door openings and nearby bathroom furniture. If it is intended to provide all the room heating, compare the confirmed output with the bathroom’s heat requirement.
Connections and room heating
Valves are not included; check our valve guide to buy the right valve alongside the radiator. Choose the connection arrangement to suit the pipework, then select the finish. This mild steel model has a 5-year warranty, subject to terms. Confirm the heating performance against your room’s requirements before purchase.
Radiator Valves: Not included. Please check our Radiator Valve Buying Guide to select suitable valves.

Other sizes and finishes
Mira towel rails come in 1500 x 500mm and 1800 x 500mm sizes, with chrome, matt black and brushed brass finishes. The 1800mm rail gives you a taller alternative; the other finishes let you retain the Mira style while coordinating a different bathroom scheme.
- Chrome finish for coordination with bathroom fittings
- 1500mm height: the shorter Mira option
- 500mm-wide towel-rail body
- Warms towels while the central-heating circuit operates
- Mild steel construction, not an electric-only model
- 5-year warranty subject to terms
- Valves are separate; check our valve guide
- 1800mm height and two other finish choices available
Q1. What size is the 1500mm chrome Mira towel rail?
A1. The radiator body measures 1500mm high x 500mm wide. Allow additional space for the selected valves, connections, mounting clearances and access. Measure the usable wall area and nearby doors or furniture before ordering.
Q2. Can a chrome heated towel rail warm the whole bathroom?
A2. Choose this 1500mm x 500mm model against a room heat-loss calculation and the confirmed output at your system’s operating temperature. Dimensions alone cannot establish whether it will provide enough heat.
Q3. Is this Mira towel rail electric or central heating?
A3. This Mira listing is specified for central heating, not as an electric model. Towel warming depends on the heating system running; electric or dual-fuel compatibility has not been confirmed.
Q4. Are chrome towel-rail valves included?
A4. Valves are not included; check our valve guide to buy the right valve alongside the radiator. The correct straight, angled or corner arrangement depends on the pipe approach and radiator connections. Choose the connection type first, then a coordinating finish.
Q5. Is a 1500mm rail shorter than the other Mira option?
A5. The Mira products in this range are 500mm wide, with 1500mm and 1800mm heights in chrome, matt black and brushed brass. Choose the dimensions that fit your space and verify the required heat output separately.
Q6. How should I check the chrome finish against my taps?
A6. This model is supplied in chrome. Coordinate the towel rail with your bathroom fittings. Check finish samples or product images when coordinating with other fittings, since names alone do not guarantee an exact colour match.
Which Valves do I need?
Pipework coming up from the floor + radiator connections on the side = Angled Valves Suitable for any pipework which comes up from beneath, through your floor or up from your skirting board.
Pipework coming up from the floor + radiator connections on the underneath side = Straight Valves. Best suited for pipework exiting from your floor or flexi-pipe up from your skirting board.
Pipework coming out from the wall + radiator connections on the side = Corner Valves (recommended) or Angled Valves If your pipework exits the wall the travels up to the radiator, Angled Valves will work best.
Pipework coming out from the wall + radiator connections on the underneath side = Corner Valves (recommended) or Angled Valves. You can also use Angled valves if you would like the valves to face forward.
