The Alma Single Oval Vertical Designer Radiator 1800mm x 480mm Anthracite pairs rounded profiles with a defined dark finish. It is an option for a room where an oval radiator should be visible as part of the design rather than blend into a pale wall.
This single oval model shares its stated height and width with the double Alma, but the construction choice still matters when specifying the heating. That consistency of dimensions can help you plan a coordinated radiator scheme while selecting models room by room. Anthracite can sit alongside grey furnishings or create contrast with lighter materials. Give the radiator sufficient clear space so its profile remains visible and the installation can be accessed.
Selecting this model

Q1. How large is the anthracite single oval Alma?
A1. This Alma has a single oval design. Flat and oval designer radiators have their own profiles; their single/double labels are not interchangeable with Aura’s 2-column/3-column terminology.
Q2. How is the single Alma different from the double oval model?
A2. This Alma has a single oval design. Flat and oval designer radiators have their own profiles; their single/double labels are not interchangeable with Aura’s 2-column/3-column terminology.
Q3. Can I replace a flat-panel radiator with this oval design?
A3. A replacement needs more than matching overall dimensions. Ask your installer to compare the connection positions, valve layout, wall projection and mounting points with the existing installation before ordering this 1800mm x 480mm model.
Q4. What valves should I choose for an Alma single radiator?
A4. Valves are not included; check our valve guide to buy the right valve alongside the radiator. The correct straight, angled or corner arrangement depends on the pipe approach and radiator connections. Choose the connection type first, then a coordinating finish.
Q5. Is this an electric anthracite radiator?
A5. This Alma listing is specified for central heating, not as an electric model. For a towel rail, towel warming depends on the heating system running; electric or dual-fuel compatibility has not been confirmed.
Q6. Can I mix single and double Alma radiators in my home?
A6. Yes, a coordinated room scheme can use the white or anthracite Alma single and double designs. Select each room’s radiator against its individual heat requirement and the confirmed output, rather than choosing one construction for every space.
Which Valves do I need?
Pipework coming up from the floor + radiator connections on the side = Angled Valves Suitable for any pipework which comes up from beneath, through your floor or up from your skirting board.
Pipework coming up from the floor + radiator connections on the underneath side = Straight Valves. Best suited for pipework exiting from your floor or flexi-pipe up from your skirting board.
Pipework coming out from the wall + radiator connections on the side = Corner Valves (recommended) or Angled Valves If your pipework exits the wall the travels up to the radiator, Angled Valves will work best.
Pipework coming out from the wall + radiator connections on the underneath side = Corner Valves (recommended) or Angled Valves. You can also use Angled valves if you would like the valves to face forward.
