The Aura 2 Column Vertical Radiator 1800mm x 515mm Raw Metal combines a tall vertical format with a traditional two-column profile. It measures 1800mm high by 515mm wide, is made from mild steel and produces 5506 BTU / 1613 Watts at T50. At 33kg, the radiator is relatively substantial, so if it is being fitted to a stud wall, suitable floor support should be considered. The matching Aura 2 Column Radiator Feet Pair Raw Metal is available for compatible installations.
5506 BTU Heat Output
This Raw Metal vertical column radiator has a heat output of 5506 BTU / 1613 Watts at T50. The output can be used when working out whether the radiator is suitable for the room. As room heat loss varies between properties, we recommend checking the required BTU before ordering. Our BTU Calculator can help with this calculation.
Classic 2 Column Design
The two-column construction gives the radiator its traditional column appearance, while the vertical orientation makes it a tall alternative to a horizontal radiator. The 1800mm height and 515mm width define the overall size, so these measurements should be checked against the available wall area before installation.
Raw Metal Finish
This version has a Raw Metal finish, giving it a different appearance from the same-size White and Anthracite options. The finish does not change the radiator’s listed dimensions or heat output, making the choice between these variants primarily a matter of appearance and the interior scheme.
Dimensions and Pipe Centres
The radiator measures 1800mm high and 515mm wide. It has 595mm pipe centres, with a wall-to-pipe-centre measurement of 61mm. The depth from the wall to the front face is 95mm. Check these measurements against the existing pipework and installation area before fitting.
33kg Weight and Matching Feet
With a weight of 33kg, the radiator requires appropriate support during installation. For stud wall installations, slip-on feet are advised for radiators over 20kg. The matching Aura 2 Column Radiator Feet Pair Raw Metal is designed for compatible Aura 2 Column Radiators and provides floor support. You can also view the full range of radiator feet available from The Radiator Hub.

If you are comparing different sizes or finishes, browse the Vertical Column Radiators collection. This allows you to compare different vertical column radiator sizes and configurations based on your available wall space and required heat output.
Other 1800mm x 515mm Options
The Aura 2 Column Vertical Radiator is also available in other finishes at the same 1800mm x 515mm size. This allows you to compare the Raw Metal finish with alternative finishes while keeping the same listed dimensions and heat output.

1. What gives this 2 column radiator its slimmer appearance?
The two-column design has a simpler profile than a three-column radiator, giving it a clean look while still offering useful heating.
2. Would the raw metal finish suit a modern renovation?
Yes. The natural metal appearance works particularly well with exposed brick, timber, concrete and other contemporary finishes.
3. Is a 2 column radiator a good choice if I prefer a less bulky look?
Yes. Its two-column construction gives it a more streamlined appearance than deeper multi-column designs.
4. Can I use this radiator in an open-plan living space?
Yes, provided its heat output is suitable for the calculated heat requirement of the space.
5. Will the raw metal finish show natural variations?
Yes. Slight differences in tone and texture can occur, giving the raw metal finish a more natural appearance.
6. Does the raw metal surface need protecting?
Yes. The surface should be appropriately sealed or lacquered to help protect the metal from oxidation and surface rust.
7. Would this radiator work well against an exposed brick wall?
Yes. The raw metal finish can complement exposed brick and other industrial-style materials without looking out of place.
8. Can I use decorative valves with this radiator?
Yes. Compatible radiator valves can be selected separately, allowing you to coordinate the connections with the overall look.
9. Is the tall design useful beside furniture?
It can be, as the vertical format uses wall height rather than requiring a long horizontal section of wall.
10. What should I check before ordering this radiator?
Check the available wall space, pipe positions, required heat output and installation requirements to make sure the 1800mm × 515mm model is suitable.
Which Valves do I need?
Pipework coming up from the floor + radiator connections on the side = Angled Valves Suitable for any pipework which comes up from beneath, through your floor or up from your skirting board.
Pipework coming up from the floor + radiator connections on the underneath side = Straight Valves. Best suited for pipework exiting from your floor or flexi-pipe up from your skirting board.
Pipework coming out from the wall + radiator connections on the side = Corner Valves (recommended) or Angled Valves If your pipework exits the wall the travels up to the radiator, Angled Valves will work best.
Pipework coming out from the wall + radiator connections on the underneath side = Corner Valves (recommended) or Angled Valves. You can also use Angled valves if you would like the valves to face forward.
Ensure you check with your plumber or installer to make sure you are using the correct valves. Need help? Contact our sales team today? 01257 452 879
