The Aura 2 Column Vertical Radiator measures 1800mm high by 515mm wide and has a classic two-column design. Finished in Anthracite, it produces 5506 BTU / 1613 Watts at T50 and is made from mild steel. The radiator weighs 33kg. If you are fitting it to a stud wall, suitable floor support should be considered because of its weight. The matching Aura 2 Column Radiator Feet Pair Anthracite can be used to provide additional floor support.
5506 BTU Heat Output
With a heat output of 5506 BTU / 1613 Watts at T50, this radiator provides a clearly defined heat output for room heat-loss calculations. It is designed for central heating systems, and the required output should be checked against the room using the appropriate heat-loss calculation. Our BTU Calculator can help you work out the approximate radiator output needed for your room.
Classic 2 Column Vertical Design
The two-column construction gives the radiator a traditional column appearance while the 1800mm height creates a tall vertical profile. The 515mm width provides the overall footprint across the wall. The Anthracite finish gives the radiator a darker appearance that can work with a range of interior styles without changing the radiator’s core column design.
Dimensions and Pipe Centres
This radiator is 1800mm high and 515mm wide. The pipe centres are 595mm, while the wall-to-pipe-centre measurement is 61mm. The depth from the wall to the front face of the radiator is 95mm. These measurements should be checked against your existing pipework and available wall space before installation.
33kg Radiator and Floor Support
At 33kg, this is a substantial radiator and the wall construction should be checked before installation. For stud wall installations, slip-on radiator feet are advised for additional floor support. The matching Aura 2 Column Radiator Feet Pair Anthracite is designed for compatible Aura 2 Column Radiators and is supplied as a pair with fixing bolts. You can also view the full range of radiator feet and supports.

Warranty and Heat Output Guidance
The Aura 2 Column Vertical Radiator comes with a 5-year warranty. Before ordering, check the radiator dimensions, pipe centres, wall clearance and heat output against your installation requirements. The 5506 BTU / 1613 Watts output is measured at T50, so room heat loss should be considered when selecting the required radiator size.

1. Why choose a 2 column radiator instead of a 3 column model?
A 2 column radiator has a simpler construction and can be a good option if you prefer a less substantial profile on the wall.
2. Would anthracite work with brass or chrome fittings?
Yes. The dark radiator finish can provide a useful contrast with brass, chrome or other metallic fixtures.
3. Can this radiator sit behind a sofa?
It can, but avoid blocking the radiator with furniture as this can restrict heat circulation around the room.
4. Is a vertical radiator useful in a room with fitted wardrobes?
Yes. Its narrower vertical footprint can make better use of the remaining wall space than a wide horizontal radiator.
5. Will the anthracite colour work with wooden furniture?
Yes. The dark finish can pair well with both light and dark wood tones.
6. Could I use this radiator in a home office?
Yes, provided its heat output is suitable for the room and there is enough clear wall space for installation.
7. Does the radiator need space above it?
Yes. Your installer should allow suitable clearance around the radiator so that heat can circulate and the radiator can be accessed when needed.
8. Can the radiator be positioned close to curtains?
It can, but curtains should not cover the radiator as this can interfere with heat circulation.
9. Is the anthracite finish suitable for a monochrome room?
Yes. It can work particularly well with black, white and grey colour schemes.
10. What should I check if this is replacing an existing radiator?
Compare the new radiator’s dimensions, heat output, connection positions and wall fixings with the existing installation before ordering.
Which Valves do I need?
Pipework coming up from the floor + radiator connections on the side = Angled Valves Suitable for any pipework which comes up from beneath, through your floor or up from your skirting board.
Pipework coming up from the floor + radiator connections on the underneath side = Straight Valves. Best suited for pipework exiting from your floor or flexi-pipe up from your skirting board.
Pipework coming out from the wall + radiator connections on the side = Corner Valves (recommended) or Angled Valves If your pipework exits the wall the travels up to the radiator, Angled Valves will work best.
Pipework coming out from the wall + radiator connections on the underneath side = Corner Valves (recommended) or Angled Valves. You can also use Angled valves if you would like the valves to face forward.
Ensure you check with your plumber or installer to make sure you are using the correct valves. Need help? Contact our sales team today? 01257 452 879
