Anthracite gives the Alma Double Oval Vertical Designer Radiator a pronounced outline, while its oval profiles soften the appearance of that dark feature. Measuring 1800mm high x 480mm wide, this model suits a design approach that pairs curved detail with a controlled colour palette.
The double oval construction distinguishes this radiator from the single Alma. Both are offered at the same stated height and width, allowing a consistent design language across different spaces when the technical selection is appropriate. Warm timber, pale paint or grey furnishings can each form part of a coordinated setting for anthracite. Compare actual finish samples if an exact match with another manufacturer’s fittings is important.

Q1. What finish is supplied on the double oval Alma?
A1. This Alma has a double oval design. Flat and oval designer radiators have their own profiles; their single/double labels are not interchangeable with Aura’s 2-column/3-column terminology.
Q2. Is the anthracite double Alma the same size as the white one?
A2. Yes. The anthracite and white double oval Alma options both measure 1800mm high x 480mm wide. Check each exact model’s technical details before specifying the installation.
Q3. How do oval tubes change the radiator’s appearance?
A3. This model is supplied in anthracite. Oval profiles give the radiator a rounded appearance. Check finish samples or product images when coordinating with other fittings, since names alone do not guarantee an exact colour match.
Q4. Can I buy valves that coordinate with anthracite?
A4. Valves are not included; check our valve guide to buy the right valve alongside the radiator. The correct straight, angled or corner arrangement depends on the pipe approach and radiator connections. Choose the connection type first, then a coordinating finish.
Q5. Should I add column radiator feet to this Alma?
A5. The matching-column-feet recommendation applies to column radiators. This oval designer radiator should use its own approved mounting arrangement.
Q6. What should I check for a low-temperature heating system?
A6. Choose this 1800mm x 480mm model against a room heat-loss calculation and the confirmed output at your system’s operating temperature. Dimensions alone cannot establish whether it will provide enough heat.
Which Valves do I need?
Pipework coming up from the floor + radiator connections on the side = Angled Valves Suitable for any pipework which comes up from beneath, through your floor or up from your skirting board.
Pipework coming up from the floor + radiator connections on the underneath side = Straight Valves. Best suited for pipework exiting from your floor or flexi-pipe up from your skirting board.
Pipework coming out from the wall + radiator connections on the side = Corner Valves (recommended) or Angled Valves If your pipework exits the wall the travels up to the radiator, Angled Valves will work best.
Pipework coming out from the wall + radiator connections on the underneath side = Corner Valves (recommended) or Angled Valves. You can also use Angled valves if you would like the valves to face forward.
Ensure you check with your plumber or installer to make sure you are using the correct valves. Need help? Contact our sales team today? 01257 452 879
