Description

The Aura 3 Column Vertical Radiator 1800mm x 425mm Raw Metal combines a classic three-column profile with a distinctive raw metal finish. Measuring 1800mm high and 425mm wide, this vertical column radiator is made from mild steel and is designed for central heating systems. It produces 5087 BTU / 1490 Watts at T50, giving customers a clear specification to compare against their room’s heating requirement.

The raw metal finish has an industrial appearance and is left uncoated. It should be sealed or lacquered after installation to help prevent oxidation and surface rust. For stud-wall installations, slip-on radiator feet are advised because this radiator weighs over 20kg. The supplied product weight is 40kg. For a coordinated installation, see the Aura 3 Column Radiator Feet Pair Raw Metal or browse the full radiator feet range.

FAQs

1. Will the raw metal look change the character of a room?

Yes. The exposed metal finish gives the radiator a more distinctive, industrial feel than a painted finish.

2. Can this radiator work as a statement piece rather than being hidden?

Yes. The tall three-column design and raw metal finish make it suitable for leaving on show as part of the room’s interior.

3. Will the raw metal finish match other metal features?

It can pair well with materials such as black steel, brushed metal and other industrial-style finishes, although the exact tones may vary.

4. Is the radiator suitable for a wall where width is limited?

Yes. At 425mm wide, it uses vertical space to provide substantial heating without requiring a large horizontal footprint.

5. Does the radiator need extra care because of its raw finish?

Yes. The raw metal should be properly sealed or lacquered to help protect it from oxidation and surface rust.

6. Could the natural metal appearance vary between two radiators?

Yes. Minor differences in tone and texture are possible with a raw metal finish, which is part of its natural appearance.

7. Is this a good option if I want a radiator that does not look overly modern?

Yes. The traditional column shape keeps the design familiar, while the raw metal finish adds a more contemporary industrial touch.

8. Can I use this radiator in a room with exposed brick or wooden features?

Yes. The raw metal finish can complement exposed brick, timber and other natural materials commonly used in industrial-style interiors.

9. Will the radiator project far into the room?

It has a 114mm depth, so this should be considered when deciding where to position it, particularly in narrower spaces.

10. What should I consider before choosing the raw metal version?

Think about the room’s overall style, available wall space, required heat output and whether you are happy to maintain the raw metal finish.

Valve Guide

Which Valves do I need?

Pipework coming up from the floor + radiator connections on the side = Angled Valves Suitable for any pipework which comes up from beneath, through your floor or up from your skirting board.

Pipework coming up from the floor + radiator connections on the underneath side = Straight Valves. Best suited for pipework exiting from your floor or flexi-pipe up from your skirting board.

Pipework coming out from the wall + radiator connections on the side = Corner Valves (recommended) or Angled Valves If your pipework exits the wall the travels up to the radiator, Angled Valves will work best.

Pipework coming out from the wall + radiator connections on the underneath side = Corner Valves (recommended) or Angled Valves. You can also use Angled valves if you would like the valves to face forward.

Ensure you check with your plumber or installer to make sure you are using the correct valves. Need help? Contact our sales team today? 01257 452 879
