Q1. Are vertical column radiators suitable for small rooms?
A1. Yes, their tall, narrow design makes them ideal for rooms with limited wall space. Choose a size with sufficient BTU output for your heating requirements.
Q2. Do vertical radiators heat a room as effectively as horizontal radiators?
A2. Yes, a vertical radiator can heat a room effectively when its heat output is suitable for the space. The right choice depends on the room’s heating requirements and the radiator’s BTU output, rather than its orientation alone.
Q3. Can I choose a custom colour for my vertical radiator?
A3. Yes, the Aura 2 Column Vertical Radiator is available in a selection of RAL colours. We recommend checking a physical RAL chart before ordering.
Q4. Do vertical column radiators need supporting feet?
A4. We recommend compatible column radiator feet for additional support and to reduce strain on wall fixings. Always follow the manufacturer’s installation guidance.
Q5. Are radiator valves included with the Aura vertical radiator?
A5. No, radiator valves are sold separately. Visit our Radiator Valve Buying Guide to find suitable valves for your pipework.
Which Valves do I need?
Pipework coming up from the floor + radiator connections on the side = Angled Valves Suitable for any pipework which comes up from beneath, through your floor or up from your skirting board.
Pipework coming up from the floor + radiator connections on the underneath side = Straight Valves. Best suited for pipework exiting from your floor or flexi-pipe up from your skirting board.
Pipework coming out from the wall + radiator connections on the side = Corner Valves (recommended) or Angled Valves If your pipework exits the wall the travels up to the radiator, Angled Valves will work best.
Pipework coming out from the wall + radiator connections on the underneath side = Corner Valves (recommended) or Angled Valves. You can also use Angled valves if you would like the valves to face forward.
